Will Kumble Play??

This is the big question that I am currently asking. How about you? Who are your hopes riding on? Has Pakistanis dismal show left you questioning all that is cricket? Are you now searching for the best Bangladeshis? Can you wrap your mind around the fact that Ireland is going through to the next round? I want to hear what is going on with you all........leave a comment, let me know.

It was certainly a big day for the World Cup with losses by both India and Pakistan. Leaving the door not only wide open for Ireland but it seems there is a doorman there to escort them on to the next round. And if Pakistan is to have any hope then the West Indies will need to rack some major golden ducks ala Flintoff! Now I am all about the underdog and I was all excited by my Irish pick of Bray but although the luck was with the Irish team, it was not with Bray. So I may have to switch my underdog vote for Bangladesh - did anyone see the little Bangladeshi dance that they do?? Its hilarious! I'm all for the dance - GO Bangladesh!! (I'm not however going to be putting any Bangladeshis on my team at the moment - maybe if they go through) Michael is in a stir cause he can't seem to pick any winners, he's changing his whole strategy. I'm not sure this is wise but as a loving wife I will support him no matter what.

Today's award goes to the Chestnuts for Making the Best of the Worst! Well done Catherine!

Tomorrow we look forward to watching the Netherlands moer Australia and Canada douse England with some fine maple syrup. Watch out for Catherine extending her lead with all her Canadian players. Play On!

Thanks for the good wishes, Katy. Frankly, it wasn't Ganguly or Dravid that did it for me, it was Munaf Patel! I just put him in so as to make up the points - so luck of the draw it seems. Aren't the Irish just delicious! I love the fact that they are so passionate and support their team with gusto. They are in fancy dress and dance around evey time there is a good shot. If only the English would do the same, the team would have a better chance. Do you know that there is not one English person at work who talks about the cricket - total apathy! Come on England - we do want you to win.
How strange that both the expected teams did not win yesterday - Bangladesh did so well. But, I would still be a bit nervous about putting them in to my team quite yet.
The burning question is, should we all put Ponting in as our captain? And please don't use Flintoff again - we all know he is so erratic, don't we.
Now, will all of you please write your comments on the blog - we really want your opinions, insults, taunts, congratulations, questions and comments. Enjoy the cricket today and may we all be on top of the leader board tomorrow!! All right, you can all be second.
