Well, another day and things were not dull. Australia won quite easily against poor Holland. I watched some of the game and there were plenty of fours and sixes. England won against Canada, but they did not look very good in the process. Also, the news of Bob Woolmer's death was quite shocking.
Catherine is still maintaining a slight lead, don't ask me how. Maybe she has nothing better to do than study cricket rosters. Paul, Lynda and Henry are hot on her heels and sooner or later the trades are going to run out. Katy, Missy and Sarah deserve honorable mention and all get the order-of-the-middle-order order for being average. I still cannot derive a scheme to better the M strategy as Graeme is just out of my reach. Janet and Moira's aversion for smelly Australians is costing them a few points at this stage but they are no doubt planning something dreadful for later in the game. Sandi is in last place which probably takes the pressure off.
There is still the question of a prize for this fun family feud. Does anyone have any ideas, besides the winner earning the right to say "Nya nya na nya nya" to the losers at family get togethers.
Hope everyone is well,
Love,
Michael

Maybe Michael and I could pick up a few tokens while at the World Cup for those in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. And maybe to go along with the first place prize we devise some type of trophy that can be passed around every four years as I think this will need to become a tradition.
That sounds like a lovely idea for a prize. I would definitely like to have the token floating trophy from the West Indies. Oh, am I assuming too much?? My strategy seems to be paying off - not quite sure what it is yet. As you say, maybe others are plotting something for later. Good luck for today - may the points flow!
Well it seems the people here at 7 chestnut close seem to be the best at this game, everyone else might as well give up :)
hehe, Win.
Graeme and I spent a very enjoyable day with the 'oh so confidant' people of Chestnut Close.
We tried to remind Catherine that it was all a bit of fun. She agreed, but then with a determined, steely look in her eye she replied,'Yes, but I really want to win!' She tried to persuade us with her delicious lunch and home-made date cookies that our tactics were not working, but Graeme is sticking with the 'M' factor and I am continuing to ban Aussies from my team (along with Moira!). I am quietly confidant my tactics will work and that my team of nice players will triumph!
Good Luck to everyone today
Love Janet
