Nail biting finish

Well, Paul keeps his lead with a narrow margin. Sarah, Missy and Katy are very close behind. What can be deduced from the graph is that Sandi must have a team of all Sri Lankans. Every time they play she takes a big jump. I can only guess she thinks they will win the World Cup. Sandi gets the sneaky sweaty Sri Lankan badge of honour for blind faith in a team from the sub continent.

Graeme has made his team anonymous, and today he got some points. I think his team is now anonymous because he has a player whose name starts with an N or a Q or a B or something else non M like.

The other interesting thing is that Catherine went down. Katy said she should have dropped her English players. Katy says last time the British performed this badly the United States got independence!

Oh ya, the nail biting finish. Sri Lanka was playing England and I wish I had watched the game. Everyone thought Sri Lanka had the game in the bag but England clawed their way back into contention. It came down to England requiring two runs off the last ball when Sri Lanka bowled the batsman out. You do not get much closer than that. Paul was quite tense when I chatted to him online after the game.

Hope everyone is doing well,
Ciao,
Michael

Hehe, Was a very close finish by Sri lanka, but it wasn't to be for England. Does make it easier for South Africa to get through though. Now that there isn't any cricket on for a few days i'll have to do something useful with my life.

Tense? Tense?? Do you know how I feel now? Not only has Vaughan made me the laughing stock of the supercontinent, but Katy is rubbing it in. I know they spend too much time in the pub, I know they seem to have no motivation, I know they have that awful FLintoff in their team - but surely they can show the world we are the Land of Hope and Glory (more hope than glory at the moment!). Why didn't I do what you did, Missy, and choose a proper captain? Well done to Paul and all those who are doing well and have good picking skills.

Catherine, thanks for the vote of confidence. That's a lot more than your son has done.
I really wanted to tell you to savor your days with your new grandson. Riley just turned 6 and I remember when James and Jacque brought him home to our house. We spent the next week just looking at him! What a joy! Time just goes by to quickly.
My love to you, Lynda and baby Joseph.

Missy, I am very proud of your performance so far in the competition. I just wish your daughter would take instruction as well as you have . :-)

Have a wonderful time in the Caribbean, Katy and Michael. We expect to hear all about it when you get back. And please say a few words to the England team for me. And a very Happy Birthday to Katy - may this be the start of a terrific year.
